We are proud to publish the advanced version of Eastern Eye, an open access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research from the Eastern region. This journal will be committed to uphold the highest standards of academic publishing and will primarily focus on research-oriented publication from its inception.

This year only, we partnered with Scientific Scholar, a reputed professional publishing group, to ensure that our work adheres to the international publishing norms. This will mark our first venture into formal academic publication, and we are excited to present research that reflects the richness and depth of our region’s scholarships. Our Editor Dr Jayanta Kumar Das has left no stone unturned to make this journal an academic brilliance.

Eastern Eye will be available in both print and online formats, providing wide accessibility and reach.

I would personally request our members to actively take part in the development of this journal, and to help this journal to reach out to the ophthalmic fraternity at large, such that once being peer-reviewed we will be able to access more varied articles from the avid researchers in ophthalmology.

I would furthermore request our entire Editorial Board to come forward with newer ideas and opinions such that this journal creates a niche in the publication world of ophthalmology as a whole.

Genuine feedback from our readers will be highly appreciated, and the feedbacks of relevance will be published in our subsequent issues. We, the entire Team EIZOC, will be looking forward for a positive step forward.
